Seated Jizo Bosatsu, the hands bearing aloft a sacred jewel (Jp. hoju) and a bonji (Siddham script) seed syllable (Jp. shuji) symbolizing Jizo Bosatsu incised on the figure's upper back, sculpted figurally from a grayish igneous stone. Mid-Edo Period ca. 1775. Minor old loss. Light lichen accumulation.

It comes with a Mongolian-style metal stopper set with aqua-marine beads, and a coral finial, and silver spoon.
