Seated Jizo Bosatsu, the hands bearing aloft a sacred jewel (Jp. hoju) and a bonji (Siddham script) seed syllable (Jp. shuji) symbolizing Jizo Bosatsu incised on the figure's upper back, sculpted figurally from a grayish igneous stone. Mid-Edo Period ca. 1775. Minor old loss. Light lichen accumulation.

Wan shaped tea bowl made of light, refined and soft Mino clay, which contains a little iron oxide.
