Ming dynasty 15/16 century Chenghua-Hongzhi period. Condition is good except two chips to mouth rim. Diameter: 14.8cm.

$4,500.00 A fine and interesting bronze sculpture of a lady selling fish. The figure is holding a basket of fish with a humorous looking octopus wanting to jump out of the basket. Often during the Meiji period, figures from daily life such as sellers of various produce and products were created for the Euro-American market where the charm and simplicity appealed to collectors. The base contains a cartouche seal of the artist, Seikoku. Age: Late Meiji- Taisho Period Size: length 9" width 8" height 19.5"

SOLD An unusual hira natsume decorated with motifs of a cicada, dragonfly, spider, snail, cricket, and frog. A few insects are closely associated with the various seasons. For example, the cicada and snail are summer insects, the dragonfly and cricket are autumn. In addition, the insects have allusions to zen and Japanese philosophies. sold thank you It is indigo dyeing cotton Yogi of the Edo era. It uses technique of the ombre dyeing. It is dyeing of the high technique.
It is handspan, handwoven and it is dyed with an indigo plant of nature. It has several places of repair traces. There is not the stain.
It is all original in the Edo era.

$1250.00 It is woven with common hemp thread, indigo-silk thread dyed beautifully and a double cotton thread dyed black. It is a very rare textile made in Iwate. The dye of the silk thread is bright blue. However, you can feel that you leave it a little in green. It is Noragi thick beautifully made in the Showa era from the Taisho era.

SOLD Antique Japanese lacquered samurai sword stand,holds five swords. The stand is simply done in black lacquer with gold paintings on the front and back panels. The bridge of the stand is decorated with a view of Mount Fuji divided into two sections. One side shows Mount Fuji with a dragon ascending the peak of the mountain. The other side shows the foothills of mount Fuji with a view of the bay of Tago (Tago no Ura). Age: 19th century. Size: length: 19.5" width 7.5" height: 19"
