DESCRIPTION: An attractive, round Chinese silver export pill box, banded with repossee’ floral designs, the hinged lid crowned with a carnelian disc. On the base is stamped, “MADE IN CHINA NO 28 SILVER.” Dating from the early 20th C., this little antique box is in excellent condition. DIMENSIONS: 1 1/8” diameter (2.8 cm) x 1” high (2.5 cm).

Chinese Export Rose Medallion Porcelain Pepper or Salt Shaker, 2 5/8" diameter, 1 1/8" high, made late 1880's, "Long Life" Chinese Character written in three(3) areas inside the circle, enclosed by typical Rose Medallion pattern with overglaze Famille Rose colors of the roses and butterflies in gold highlight. Marked "China" in red on the bottom and large hole for cork stopper.

Very handsome and attractive small head of Buddha, GANDHARA, 2-3rd Century, Grey Schist. The youthful face is well defined with handsome features following a classical Hellenistic-Greek style. The crescent shaped hair is toped by a raised ushnisha and a small urna is between the delicately arched eyebrows. The ear has a large pierced lobe. A very fine gilded bronze Buddha, sitting on Naga. H. 17 cm. Condition: Casting flawa, chips to the foot rim, the Naga head, which used to be behind the Buddha head, is missing. Nevertheless a very attractive piece with a serene expression.

An export blue and white plate decorated with a bird and floral patterns. Kangxi period (1662-1722). Marked with an Artemisia leaf. Diameter 27 cm. The silver handle was added in 1854 by the wellknown Dutch silversmith J.M. van Kempen in Utrecht(later in Voorschoten). In the 19th century it was very fashionable in The Netherlands to add silver mounts, lids and handles to antique porcelain objects. A Yaozhou censer was stand in unique stem foot.
It was also called XinLu in Chinese for this rare type.
Well glaze in yellowish green tint, the censer was revealed with buff-tinted body clay in the cavetto and at the foot.
It was preserved in perfect condition with slight incursions happened to the glaze.
