Sold, Thank you. Two pieces of urumi-zome cloth which are made of hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. Urumi-zome is katazome (stencil-resist-dye) imitating shibori-zome (tie-dye) and it requires more process than common katazome to make blurring like shibori. Sold, Thank you! Wow, this Iga Shinogi Mizusashi by Atarashi Manabu is as good as it gets. The torn and slabbed surface is rough, accentuating the particular grains of Iga clay, covered in a smattering of smokey charring and spattered ash. The vessel comes enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Iga Shinogi Mizusashi. It is 17.5 cm (7 inches) diameter, 20 cm (8 inches) tall and in perfect condition, directly from the artist this summer. It compliments perfectly the Chawan from the same firing.

$1,250.00 Chinese fan painting of a stand of bamboo growing near a group of moss-covered rocks. A poem written in the upper right hand corner says: 细竹千竿満地 which translates as "A thousand stalks of slender bamboo cover the ground". The seal is a bit hard to make out but appears to read: 鄭 Zhèng.
That character seems to also appear towards the end of the text.
The next character after it and in the seal is 名 (míng, 'name'). In the text, the last 2 characters are 学 (xué, 'study') and...

The original poem was written around 1201 when he was 76 and describes local delicacies from the area where he grew up. The fan is signed on the lower left side by 魏惟一 Wèi Wéiyī and seal: 惟一Wéiyī. The old poem translates as the following:
Shanyin was once known as Little Penglai... Tea leaf buds... Shoots of herbs... Foxnuts, "shiny pearls," carried by a hundred boats ...
