Small gold lacquer tray, magnificent example of kirikane and multiple lacquer technical and multiple lacquering techniques. Absolutely exceptional quality, very rarely encountered. Presence of small details in mother of pearl. I think it must have been part of a set, most probably inside a box? But it is possible that it was created alone. Perfect state of conservation. Difficult to date exactly, I would say around 1800. Dimensions 105x80mm.

A Japanese bronze study of a prowling, growling, tiger with an open mouth, glass eyes and etched strips. There is a cast rectangular reserve on the tigers belly which says Seiya Sake(Sei ya made), which would indicate that the statue was made in the Genryusai Seiya Workshop. A Bronze elephant under attack by two tigers, one tiger is on his back, and one is under his front foot. The elephant has a finely chased hide and original ivory tusks, and the tigers have etched bronze strips. A large and very attractive, lobed Kutani vase with a high neck in porcelain. The piece is decorated w. a mottled, preussian-blue glaze over which are purplish splashes covering the upper part. Signed in the bottom with a seal Kutani Yasokichi (1907–1997), (second generation Tokuda, and father of Living National Treasure Tokuda Yasokichi. Accompanied by fully signed kiri-box. A fine and unusual brush rest in the shape of a dragon-fish or some similar mythological animal. Carved of what appears to be boxwood with a dark-reddish lacquer coating. On the bottom side an illegible signature in raised relief consisting of two Chinese characters. Qing, probably second half of 18th cent. L 15 cm. Condition: Fine all-over, but with wear due to age & handling.

Old Korean wood carving mold for making rice cake, with a carving of single Chinese character which seems to "Shadow". Also with a carving character of 'Uhm' as the name of owner and some unidentified characters at the backside. Early-Mid 20th century. approx. 27 x 6.5 x H 4.5cm (10.62 x 2.55 x 1.77in). Hangable with string or nail through a small hole as seen. Some expected stains and scratches due to aging as is.

Antique Japanese small and detailed wood carving of standing Buddhist attendant figure. Gracefully positioned on a rocky out cropping, the male figure, possibly a Bosatsu himself exudes a sense of calm strength. Flowing drapery is carved with movement and intricately painted with mineral colors.
