Chinese Qing dynasty scholar’s pear-form monochrome porcelain bud vase with wide mouth covered overall in a Junyao type purplish blue flambé glaze that extends into the interior. The slightly recessed base is brown washed. The wood stand and padded silk presentation box are included. Early 19th century to possibly late 18th. Vase: 3 1/2” high x 3” diameter. Silk presentation box: 7 1/2"L x 5"W x 4 1/2"H. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs...
Large Chinese Qing dynasty Guangxu period bombe form censer (incense burner) with flared rim decorated in underglaze blue on a white porcelain ground with three horizontal rows of zhuanshu "shou" (longevity) ideographs extending around the circumference of the bulbous body. Massive Chinese Jin to Yuan dynasty (12th/13th century) Henan dark brown/black glazed horizontally ribbed ovoid form stoneware jar with high, wide shoulders narrowing at the base. The thick glaze drips down toward the flat, unglazed base. The rich black/brown glaze, referred to as “temmoku” by the Japanese, is highlighted by a russet colored cylindrical neck and rim. Measures about 13” high x 13 1/2” diameter. Very good overall condition with typical surface scratches to the glaze.
