Large Chinese late Qing dynasty pewter double-handled lidded teapot decorated in low relief with calligraphy and a crane among flowering foliage. A separate removable strainer is in the interior. Measures 7” high to top of finial x 9” across to the end of the spout. Late 19th to early 20th century. Very good overall condition with typical wear. Antique Chinese bronze vase in the shape of a ritual libation vessel (gu). Cast with archaic form and motifs. The gu form vessel was first developed in the Shang Dynasty when it was used for both drinking wine and for offering ritual libations. This 19th century version displays the traditional characteristics (the slender, sloping form and trumpet-like neck). With a single character on the bottom inside.

Quite a large Chinese copper handwarmer with fine patina. Finely engraved with lotus scrolls among lattice, the domed lid pierced with the same design. Originally two bronze swing handles, one is lost. Condition: traces of usage, one handle lost, interior with some verdigris. Dimension: diameter: c. 20.5 cm, height with handle up: c. 19.5 cm.

Cane in embossed silver, decorated with 2 dragons evolving among clouds. Above are represented 4 Chinese characters whose meaning is unknown to us. The background is chiseled with amati and has a yellow reflection which could be the remains of missing gilding . The barrel is made of carved wood, and appears original. Length:875mm Width:115mm

Cast solid silver cane. Very high relief decoration of 2 dragons and 2 bats surrounded by clouds, the carvings are precise. On the side the Chinese character "Shou" is inlaid in gold. The background is chiseled with amati. It is rare to find a cane of this excellent quality in solid cast silver, usually this type of cane being made of simply embossed silver...

A fine group of three gilt bronze belt plates, of slightly rectangular form, each bearing a decoration in relief representing a musician playing an instrument. Gilt bronze, with a nice patina, partly green, partly reddish. China, Tang dynasty. Dimensions: 3.1 x 3.2 cm. Very good condition

Chinese dignitary in cast bronze hot-gilded with mercury. Ming dynasty, 17th century or before. The hands and face are gilded, the rest of the figure was lacquered in several colors, traces of these pigments remain, notably red. The dress is incised with scrolls...

Quirky set of Tibetan tools/utensils in copper and shagreen sheath. The blades and other bits are good quality steel with good bone handles. Possibly a surgeons or dentists set, I honestly don’t know- there are no chopsticks or forks, as is typical, so I don’t think these were used for eating. The knife has a good edge, this will clean up with a bit of baking powder and effort. All pieces in good condition and functional. Old circa 19th CE. See scale in last enlargement.

Small statue of Buddha, in monk's robes, sitting cross-legged on an elevated lotus throne, holding a bowl in his left hand, his right hand in protecting and blessing posture (abhaya mudra). The statue was cast in the style of the Liao dynasty Buddha images. Bronze, with fine age patina. Qing Dynasty, 18th century. Slight abrasion due to age, otherwise very good condition.
