This large pottery jar was made during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). It is made from a high-fired pale orange-brown pottery, the surface colour of which varies in places. It is of globular form with quite a wide mouth. The whole outer surface has been decorated with repeated impressed geometric patterns comprising vertical and horizontal lines. sold Chinese hard porcelain dish. Interesting and rare decoration in underglaze cobalt blue representing emblems and antiquities. The designs are very neat and beautiful. On the reverse of the dish, in a double circle is drawn a mark in the form of a tetrapod vase, one of the typical marks of the Kangxi period. The color of the blue is superb, it is a beautiful example of the finest creations of cobalt blue from the Kangxi period at the very beginning of the 18th century...

$1,500.00 Circa 1920-50, Chinese rock crystal snuff bottle of two closed buds carved with vines with apple green jadeite stems for stoppers. Carved and hand polished with superb clarity and craftsmanship, it is presented on a nice hardwood stand of a later date. In perfect condition, just the bottle measures 3" long x 1.75" high x 1.25 wide".
Diameter approximately 39.5 cm. There is a soft chip at the rim.
In good condition.
The slip cover has a couple of scuffs but the book inside is fine/as new. These sell for $400 everywhere else- my price is $200. A must have for aficionados/aficionadas of the QIngbai glaze.
