An unusual Chinese bronze silver-inlaid tripod censer decorated with trailing flowers below key-pattern and above a ruyi head to each foot. 12cms diam. Early Qing dynasty, 17th/18th century. It has both an inlaid Shisou two-character mark and an impressed six-character Xuande mark. Weight 565g. Original condition with good old patina. From a Suffolk, UK, family.

A vintage iron garden lantern featuring a grapevine motif with hinged door and votive candle holder on the inner floor. Beautiful aged patina and a cast finial depicting a knotted ring. Grape leaves drape the top of the roof. Marked with an incised Taiwan at the bottom.

Miniature statue of a standing flautist, in formal robes, holding his flute with both hands. Bronze, with a beautiful red and green patina. China, Tang dynasty. Height: 7.5 cm. Obvious signs of great age, otherwise very good condition.

The cast of this large incense burner is of beautiful quality, the walls are very thin, the carvings are precise and the finish neat. The shape is atypical, of great elegance. The body rests on three feet. The decoration in slight relief, is inspired by that of Chinese archaic bronzes, presenting Tao-tie masks, dragons and stylized birds on a background of square spirals. Some parts are damascened in silver. Below is cast in relief a mark composed of Chinese characters...

Superb censer, richly decorated in relief with a chimera head on each side, the eight Buddhist symbols surrounded by foliage, the whole surmounting two levels of stylised lotuses. Reign mark beneath. White brass (or silver alloy) with a fine age patina. China, Qing Dynasty Guangxu period (1875-1908). Very good condition. NOTE: the censer is quite heavy.

This candlestick, of exceptional dimensions, was part of the decoration of the altar of a temple or a palace. It is made of cast lead and partially gilded on red and green lacquer. Exagonal shape. The partly openwork decoration mainly represents flower vases, but also stylized dragons, bats, flowers and coins. Some friezes of the upper edges are unsoldered, but the candlestick is complete, only a vase motif is missing from one of the 24 panels...

Unusual oval copper box with incised patterns depicting Dutch trading and historical scenes and classic Chinese “dragons chasing a flaming pearl”. This is circa 17th/18th century. The hinge and lock are later 19th century Chinese additions. Very good condition- no dents or scratches, there is a bit missing on the locking mechanism but still works- noted in last enlargement.
