A male front Mandarin square with a tiger, denoting the 3rd military rank. Silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic threads and painted details. The animal is standing on a rock above deep water, the ground with Taoist longevity symbols. Blue silk lining. Henan kiln of Cizhou kiln group is famous for black glaze ware. It is supposed that 4 handles were used to tie up the lid with rope. Condition is almost perfect except some chips. A removable Chinese travel hat stand. Cut in the shape of two interlocking Lingzhi. Carved in a beautiful hardwood with a very fine grain. Good cabinetwork finish. Simple object but very elegant and rare. Beautiful antique patina of the wood. Difficult to date exactly in the Qing period. Height : about 23cm The two mushrooms broken in half and badly glued together (see photo). I can, on request, glue them back together correctly for free.

Porcelain vase of china enamelled of blue. Square form carrying 2 handles elephant heads in relief. Mark in cobalt blue of qianlong under the base. Pierced and long crack on one side (visible on photo). Beautiful enamel blue night. Seems to us without problem of the period. Height: 30cm

Chinese White Jade Carving Pendant & Ring Silver Necklace,19th Century

It is 18.5 inches (47 cm) in circumference. The pendant is 2 inches (5.1 cm) long by 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide and 5.5 mm thick. The ring is 16 mm- 18.2 mm diameter by 3.6 mm - 6.2 mm wide. The total weight is 104.5 gram.

It has flea bite chips and inclusions at the jade, and tarnished at the metal ring and clip (as seen in the photos).

Antique Chinese gilt copper repoussé box with hinged lid. Decorated all over with finely detailed designs of birds in blossoming branches. A phoenix adorns the front and back of the box and white jade carved in the form of three fruits (probably peaches) decorates the lid.

porcelain kuan-yin enameled in iron red and copper green. Green enamel has an unusual iridescent metallic appearance that seems to be peculiar to an era or a production site. The statuette is made in a mold in 2 parts, the joint is visible below. The unglazed parts, at least the base, were covered with lacquer and gold which have disappeared leaving only traces (look photo). I attach the picture of a Guan-Yin with similar green. Usual wear. Good condition. Hight about 7 cm H: 86mm

A Chinese porcelain water pipe made for the Imperial Palace in Hue. Decoration of dragons in cobalt blue underglaze. Below 4 characters in blue and, which is unusual, 4 other characters incised under glassure, perhaps the mark of the potter or the commander. The silver setting of very good quality is a fine example of fine goldsmith's work, it is perhaps -be Chinese but more probably Annamese...

Antique Chinese pair of large joss stick incense holders. Made of porcelain in bell form. Decorated with painted designs of dragons, lingzhi and scrolling vines in red-orange overglaze standing out against a dramatic black ground.
