Sold in Vervendi February Asian art auction A pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain cups. Nicely painted decoration of three flower arrangements on each cup - the bouquets respectively centering a peony, a chrysanthemum and a camellia bloom (appearing to represent blooms from different seasons.) The cobalt blue has a deep, clean quality. Late 19th to early 20th century. Condition is good - one cup with small flake inside the foot rim (illustrated.) Height each, little more than 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm)...

Blue and white decoration of ducks in water among lotus. If you look at the photographs closely, you will barely discern a very soft, pale blue wash for the water in the decoration...

Sold In Vervendi February 2015 Auction A rare, antique Chinese Imperial court necklace presentation case. Gilt, red lacquered formed and stitched thin wood armature with carved or pressed fret pattern on sides and top also with auspicious symbols and characters conveying congratulations upon promotion. Diameter, about 7 5/8 inches (19.37 cm). Height, about 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm). Very good condition with tasteful and old conservation to small areas of lacquer and expected rubbing to gilt surface...

A pair of Jianyang hare-furs tea bowls was well mold in fine shape. In evert mouth rim, the bowls were stand by circular foot rings. Characteristic abrasion was found at the foot ring where the body clay was covered with burial adhesives. Incursions were also found on the mouth rim. They were in lovely sizes- very hard to find on the market, but ideally for tea ceremony. Date: Southern Song dynasty, 1127-1279...

Fine Sung dynasty celadon deep dish or bowl in olive brown glaze. Glaze is silky yet some wear to bottom of the bowl as would be expected. Additionally there is wear to the base rim. In good overall condition. Diameter: 8.50 inches; height: 2 inches.

Red silk with blue borders, embroidered in colored silk and gold thread. The gilded buttons with scenes of figures in a boat. On the back of the buttons a text: ' rich treble gilt' and ' T.W. & W'. $1,200.00 A very lovely natural green Burmese jadite necklace, all stones were selected to match, none were dyed. The clasp is marked 'silver' and by the art deco design of it we date the piece to the 1920 - 1930's. The necklace measures 24" and consists of three strands. This is a nice weighty but very comfortable necklace, highly stylish and elegant, a real crowd pleaser.
