Wonderful Chinese antique scholar rock, horizontal formation with cave like holes worn in between layers, top layer is a flat plateau, on custom wooden base that has been carved to fit the stone exactly, early 20th century. Total size with stand: 8" high x 17 1/4" long x 7" deep.

Chinese canton enamel box with slightly domed lid. The sides and top finely painted with scholars in landscape setting in famille rose palette. Interior with turquoise enamel. Condition: good - considering the delicate nature of enamel, rim of box with two very small retouchings and and sides of lid with three tiny enamel losses and few stress lines. Dimension: diameter: 10.2 cm, 6 cm high.

A unusual rare well carved jade pendant with a stylized head of a Zhou pig on top and tapering down into a fang or a claw.. The upper part of the jade is of a black and tan color and the tail is translucent. There is a hole at the back of the mouth for stringing. Size: L. 4.7cm. W. 1.2cm. Condition: See last photo.

A four character calligraphy piece attributed to Liu Bingsen (1937-2005). Liu Bingsen was noted for his contemporary interpretations and styles in Chinese calligraphy. Though the subject is fitting for a literati scholar, the work appeared to be used for a communist party publication. Age: Late 20th century Size: Width 25.5" height 19.5"

A simple line drawing of the portrait of the founder of the Chinese communist party, Mao Zedong. The work is attributed to an artist named Li Qi (1928-2009). Li Qi is known for composing portraits of important political figures in China and developing his distinct style within Modern Chinese art. Age: 1960-1970. Size: Height 25.5" Width 19.5"

A large Chinese porcelain communist badge depicting Mao Zhedong, the father of Chinese communism. The back of the badge has a date of 1968, the years when China was going through social policy changes. The photo is showing Mao during his campaigns in the Shangxi region. Chinese porcelain plate finely painted in Qianjiang enamels, showing a temple in a hilly landscape. Dated, inscribed and signed Tinghui (apparently Fang Tinghui, active late 19th century). The base with four character mark "Zhushan rui pin". Condition: fine, only gilt rim and blue enamel with little wear. Dimension: diameter: 22.6 cm, 3.8 cm high.

Beautiful Chinese antique large black lacquered cabinet, painted with charming scenes of figures in a mountain pavilion setting, the upper portion of the doors are painted with scholar's objects, the edges are painted with Shou symbols and butterflies, the interior of the cabinet has a shelf with two small drawers, early 20th century. Size: 71 3/4" high x 44" wide x 23" deep.

Tall Chinese hardwood cabinet in two sections, elaborately carved all over with scenes of eight dragons in light color wood on dark hardwood ground carved with swirling clouds, rocks and waves. The sides of the cabinet are also made of dark hardwood and carved with scrolling key fret motif. Brass hardware is incised with matching key fret and chimera designs. c. 1950. Total size: 86 " high x 35 1/4" wide x 15 3/4" deep (bottom section is 66 1/2" high. top section is 19 1/2" high)

A nicely carved natural amber pendant with one bat and leaf design. The bat represent longevity and happiness. The bat and happiness sound is in the Chinese language is similar - both pronounced Fu. Size: L. 2.5cm. Condition: No repairs, cracks or chips.

Beautiful Chinese antique porcelain bowl with lid, decorated on both top and bottom with images of dragons and phoenixes, inside with shou longevity symbol and bats, bottom of both lid and bowl has 6 character Guangxu Period mark. Size: 9" diameter bowl. 8 1/2" diameter lid

A Canton enamel bowl, beautifully decorated with flowers and a rock in Famille rose colors under a border in gilt and puce. Blue orchid mark to the interior, puce orchid to the back. 18th century, late Qianlong. Height "2¾/ 7,2 cm. Condition: damages and stress lines (cf pics.), no repair.

Three Yixing or Zi Sha tea bowls, the interior and the base glazed in turquoise, the exterior with four characters in white glaze. One a little greener than the others, and marked “Import”. China, c 1900. Condition: fine, except for a glaze loss near the border of one bowl, caused in fabrication (cf. pics). Height: "2/ 4,8 - 5 cm and diameter "2 ½ - 2 ¾ / 6,5 - 7 cm.

A pair of Yixing or Zi Sha tea bowls, the interior and the base glazed in turquoise, the exterior with four characters in white glaze. Both with impressed key fret border. China, c 1900. Height "2/5 cm and "2/4,7 cm Condition: a minimal glaze flake to one bowl.

DESCRIPTION: A long, six-sided Chinese ink stick with nicely detailed dragon and phoenix curling about the surface. Short, impressed Chinese inscriptions are found on two sides. One of the four treasures of the scholar's studio, ink sticks (or cakes) would be carefully ground by the scholar and mixed with water on an inkstone to paint calligraphy or scrolls with a brush. This black ink stick is in good antique condition. DIMENSIONS: 6 1/2" long (16.5 cm) x 1 1/4" diameter (3.2 cm).

This is a fine bronze Buddhist votive shrine from the middle of the 19th. century ( Qing ) continuing the tradition of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The shrine has four splayed legs cast with an inscription and is cast in relief with a seated figure of Buddha.

As you can see, it is in good condition.
