An early Ming dynasty Longquan Celadon bowl, decorated with lobed sides cavetto. Condition is perfect except glaze slight dull. Diameter: 11.5cm.

A green "Celadon" glazed dish or shallow bowl with flat bracketed rim. The centre is decorated with a moulded peony flower; surrounding this the thick green glaze is incised with stylized lotus scrolls. This item was made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province circa 1400-1500 during the first half of the Ming dynasty. Beautiful Chinese short silk robe for a lady, made of iridescent blue and purple silk woven with design of auspicious objects and swirling clouds. Applied edging of extremely intricate embroidered scenes noble men and ladies in a garden pavilion setting engaged in leisurely outdoor pursuits like fishing and flower gazing. A model of He Xiangu holding a flower basket, the only female deity among the Eight Immortals. Worked in silver and enamel, the head, hands and basket are detachable. Base marked with Chinese characters. Dating to the late Qing or early 20th century. Condition: losses to enamel and some oxydations under the enamel, one earring with small loss. Chinese Qing dynasty Yongzheng to Qianlong period round form deep plate decorated in underglaze blue on a white porcelain ground with a central panel of lotus flowers and leaves surrounded by a band of peonies and scrolling foliage extending around the well. A similar band decorates the exterior. The base and foot rim are unglazed. 11” diameter x 2” high. 18th century. Very good overall condition. A fine antique Chinese child's collar with stitch work and fine knitting on the edge. The shawl collar is decorated with auspicious motifs of bats, butterflies, geese, and flowers. The collar is often seen in Chinese fashion during the Qing Dynasty where women wore the collars during formal or auspicious occasions. Age: Qing-Republic Period Size: length 18.5" height 16"
