Hida Kamagatake Size: Oban. Approximately 15.5 x 10.5 inches. Date: 1933. This is a lifetime edition published between 1946 and 1957. Publisher: Watanabe Shozaburo. Bears the red 6mm seal. Condition: Very good. The tonal difference at the lower right corner appears to be an impression flaw, rather than a matte line. A rarely seen Hasui image.

SOLD. Standing Jizo Bosatsu, the hands holding a hoju (sacred jewel), figurally sculpted from a gray-hued igneous stone. Mid-Edo Period ca. 1750. Very minor old loss, with overall softening of the lines and contours.

$775.00 Japanese red lacquer on wood and brocaded Silk Obi Fabric top Folding Stand, 17 1/2" high, 18" wide, 14 1/2" deep-maximum(when opened), and 24" high, 14 1/2" deep(when closed), later part of Meiji period early 1900's, silk fabric has no open seam, all one(1) piece of silk Obi fabric, woven for this stand when it was made. The eight(8) metal caps have impressed design. There are some dull lacquer area from the usage but no damage.

Height: 53.5 cm Lovely lacquerware inro, decorated with fish an seashells. With a coral ojime and a carved cinnabar lacquer netsuke. Meiji period (1868-1912). Signed at the bottom. Measurements: the inro 6x5,5 cm, the netsuke 3x2 cm.

$675.00 This is a well done and rather large Japanese Cloisonne Jar. It is done in the Kyoto style and decorated with three phoenix birds. The piece is stoutly made with thick rims and is quite heavy. The artist we are not sure but the mottled enamel used may point towards Honda. The piece is in excellent condition with just a tiny loss of enamel on the underside of the lid where the knob is attached. It stands 8 1/2 inches.

The iron lantern contains a short inscription with the date when the piece was made (first year of Taisho, 1912) and that the lantern was made by Yojiro.
