Lake Chuzenji, Nikko, 1930. Size: Oban, approximately 16.5 x 11.25 inches. This is a very desirable edition published in the 1950s by Shobisha, which acquired publishing rights from Kawaguchi and Sakai. Bears the round, red seal used by Shobisha in the 1950s on the verso. Condition: Excellent. One corner has a light crease at the margin.

The object is done in black lacquer with makie decorated with a motif of a peony. Inside the container is decorated with gold in the style known as Nashiji, or pear skin. Age: 20th century. Price on Request A bronze statue of a fisherman about to cast his fishing net into the water. The statue is well crafted showing the veins on the legs, the knitting on the nets, every piece of straw on the dress. This meticulous detail work in Japanese bronzes is often seen during the Meiji Period. The bottom of the statue contain two inspection labels.
One is a stamp with the inspector's name, Yamashita and a number, 28... A high quality cloisonne vase dating from the Meiji period. Design of ho-o birds among clouds on a green speckled ground. The shoulder with flowers on a black spiral ground. Bottom, rim and wires are gilt. With wood stand. Condition: rim with a small dent (see picture No. 6). Small area with only under the magnifying glass visible imperfections. Dimension: 12.1 cm high. Same shape and close design to item# 1174589.
