Sold. Thank you. Pilgrim's cotton hanten (hakue) with many stamps of sacred places in Shodo-shima in Kagawa prefecture. They are called "Shodo-shima Hachiju-hachi Kasho", 88 Sacred Places in Shodo Island. It is said Kobo-Taishi (Kukai) had ascetic practice and prayer at those places, who founded Shingon Mikkyo in late 8th century. In good condition except for light stain in the upper back sleeve. Kyo/Kiyomizu Ware has several centuries of history with over 300 kilns located around Kyoto, Japan. The history of Kiyomizu pottery goes back to the Momoyama period (1568-1600). Shino pottery is produced in today's Gifu prefecture since 16th century and it is distinguished by thick white glazes, red marks and the surface of small holes. Size 3.3in. (8.4cm.) high; 5.1in. (13cm.) diameter; 440g weight. Condition There are repairs and cracks due to age. The bowl doesn't leak and can be used for tea ceremony. Please see the photos for details.

Sold, with thanks! An organic form by young female artist Tanaka Tomomi enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Mimi-nari and dating from 2017. It is 6 x 6 x 5-1/2 inches (15 x 15 x 14 cm) and is in excellent condition.
Tanaka Tomomi was born in Hyogo prefecture, near Kobe, in 1983, and graduated advanced courses at the Aichi University of Education in 2008, however her work has been garnering attention in various exhibitions since 2005... Antique Japanese Red Raku Tea Bowl (Chawan) made by Waraku during Meiji period (1868-1912).
The seal of the potter is stamped at the bottom. Waraku started producing Raku wares around 1830 in Kyoto and now Motoo Kawasaki is the 8th generation of Waraku. It is a very auspicious pine, bamboo, plum and crane, turtle design.
There is a faint fading part, but overall it is in very good condition.
On the far right is the name and date of the orderer for this noren. There is a family crest of the house.
