Japanese Meiji period bronze model of a striped tiger standing on rockery preparing to attack a coiled striking snake. Square form Genryusai Seiya mark to base. Custom lacquered wood stand included. Circa 1890. Measures about 15”H x 16”L x 9 ½”D (excluding wood stand). Very good overall condition with excellent naturalistic detail and a nice dark brown patina. This bronze sculpture is from an old Scottsdale, Arizona collection.

Sold This is a very fine cloisonne vase with very fine work. It stands only 3 3/4 inches tall but it is loaded with fine details, enameling and sculpted wire work. The vase does have a very slight bend on the bottom rim and there is a small amount of enamel damage that is hard to notice.

Sold This in a very nice Japanese cloisonne wisteria vase. It has a soft yellowish/green ground color which is fairly uncommon.The vase is in outstanding condition having just a few factory pits. From the looks of the enamel and workmanship, this vase appears to have been made by Ota. The vase stands 9 1/2 inches tall and it is a heavy piece.

Sold, Thank You! An interesting and well-shaped tea bowl, this Meiji piece surely has stories to tell. The gold repairs traversing one side of the bowl are extensive and skillfully applied, nicely complimenting the dark ferrous clay and flaxen glaze. Many find such repairs quite attractive and in this case they clearly add an extra dimension to this lovely work.
