A jewel-like miniature ‘Imperial’ Satsuma vase, of baluster form with elephant head handles. One side is decorated with flowering lotus, the other with a gourd vine. The base has the signature Hogetsu beneath a blue Shimizu mon.

Approximately 9.7cm high. Perfect condition. Remarkably fresh looking with no wear to the enamels.

Antique pair of Turkish square side tables with elaborate mashrabiya openwork on the sides. This traditional Islamic lattice work is the same that is used on mashrabiya balconies, an architectural element used to help cool the upper floors of buildings. The body of the censor has dragons for handles and is encircled with a scrolling key fret motif.
