This peach-shaped kogo (incense box) is made of fine kinuta celadon from one of the great masters of the Meiji era—Suwa Sozan. A classic design, the peach is said to represent long-life for mortals and immortality for the gods in asian folklore. According to legend, the moon goddess—a powerful alchemist—can make an elixir from peaches that grow in the garden of the western paradise with miraculous revitalizing properties.

Antique Japanese zenibako, or money box, made of heavy Keyaki (elm) wood. The piece uses a funnel top lid for collecting temple offerings, secured with a very large iron front lock. Original condition. With mortis and tenon joinery.

Large Qing dynasty Guangxu period cylindrical scroll pot or brush pot decorated on opposing sides with a white foliate cartouche decorated with the one hundred antiques motif. A Late Ming Zhangzhou ware white glazed covered box, decorated incised with a Chrysanthemum head to the top and support by leafy. Condition very good, no crack and no chip, free from any restoration. Diameter: 6,8 cm and Height: 5.1 cm.

A Ming dynasty blue and white dish, with main decorated a Qirin in the centre and floral sprays to cavetto. Ming 16th century Hongzhi period. Condition with 3 hairlines crack, and kiln material adhere to the base area, otherwise is good condition. Diameter: 32 cm.

A Chinese brush or ink cake rest in scroll shape. Made of porcelain, beautifully painted in the Qianjiang Palette, showing a river landscape. The sides with some gold paint. Base with four unglazed feet. Dating to the late Qing / early Republic period. Condition: gilding with little wear. Dimension: 8 cm long x 3.3 cm wide x 1.8 cm high.

Japanese woven suiban. This low, shallow container is used for ikebana flower arranging. Rectangular in form, this suiban is raised on low feet. A grain or leaf-like design is woven into all sides and the corners have intricate knot work. An oval shaped metal container sits perfectly inside for holding water.
