An authentic antique Tibetan belt pouch or purse from the 18th - 19th century. It is of museum-quality and made of silver, brass, iron, and leather. The front of the pouch is richly decorated with solid silver plaques that feature a foliage pattern and are studded with corals and turquoise. The top of the pouch has a brass suspension fitting cast in relief and is adorned in the center with a mask.

MEASUREMENTS: The front silver frame's overall length is 14.6 cm (5 3/4 in).

A very unusual Meiji period Suzuri Bako with cherry blossoms in black on black outside, a crescent silver moon rising beyond crashing gold waves within. The box is so subtle outside, that until very close, and at the correct angle, it simply looks black. Then one sees the cherry blossoms covering the entire outside, in the slightest texture only. Inside the moon is a long crescent of inlayed silver rising like a sake cup waiting to be filled with Taka-maki-e waves spraying foam across its rega...

Antique Chinese blue and white porcelain gu (wine vessel) vase. Its sides are decorated with multiple panels depicting oceanside scenes, each section separated by a ring of swirling patterns. The bottom of the vase is marked with a double ring. Early Republic Period (circa 1910) Size: 16.5" height

Jizo Bosatsu seated upon a lotus-form dais, the right hand holding a long-stemmed lotus blossom and the left a hoju (sacred jewel), figurally sculpted from a gray-hued igneous stone. Mid- to late-Edo Period ca. 1775. Very minor old loss. Variegated lichen accumulation.

Original blond two section Antique Japanese Isho tansu. Beautiful natural kiri wood used in the entire construction of the piece. Kiri has desirable breathing characteristics for a clothing tansu. Wonderful original black iron Full Moon hardware with locking side handles. Overall in wonderful condition with top and sides of both pieces finished nicely. This is a bronze miniature figure of Sri-Lakshmi, a Hindu goddess from 16th-18th century India. The figure stands in a sensual tribhanga pose on a round base over a square plinth. Her right arm is extended, and her left arm is raised with a lotus blossom.

She wears a long dhoti with incised foliate patterns and an elaborate pendant belt.

She is also adorned with jewelry and a breast band, and her hair is piled into a high chignon.

Small figurine representing Kuan Yin, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, in formal attire and wearing elaborate diadem and necklaces, sitting cross-legged on an elevated throne around which reclining lions are showing. Bronze, with dark reddish-green patina. China, Northern Wei or Sui Dynasty. Height: 2 3/4" (7 cm). Strong erosion due to great age, right hand partly chipped (old accident) otherwise good condition. An extremely rare object.

Seated Amida Buddha, the hands placed centrally on the lap in the Amida jo-in concentration mudra, sculpted in relief from an iron-rich igneous stone. Late-Muromachi Period ca. 1550. Very minor old loss. Light lichen accumulation.
