Chinese print, made in the 1950s by the National Museum in Taipei, of 16th or 17th century original fan. This print is part of a collection of four volumes each with 10 prints or paintings and fans. The woman is wearing elegant garments that billow in the wind as she stands atop a phoenix whose wings are flapping as they ascend through the clouds together, the sun glowing behind them. The bone of this hair pin has carved series of circles and a very delicate cross hatch pattern. The top is decorated with strands animal hair. The hair pin is 7.5 inches long. This hair ornament is Naga, which is an indigenous tribal culture in the hills of the north east region of India.

Chinese huang huali box from the mid 20th century. The box is beautifully decorated with dragons on the front doors and the top. The top of the box and doors open to reveal an open compartment and four drawers. The box has handles on either side. The piece is fitted with bronze metal hardware. It measures 14" wide 9.5" deep 13.5" tall.

Here we show you a real rare antique and authentic small wooden hand carved Buddha Statue in form of a Bodhisattva, called Myoken Bosatsu.

It was made more than 140 years ago in the late Edo Period. The eyes of the statue are made of crystal and that technique is called gyokugan.

Chinese Quan Yin from the second half of the 20th century. It is made of rare aromatic Cheng Xiang wood. The figure stands statuesque and unperturbed atop a turbulent sea holding a string of beads. A six panel gold screen decorated in a style harkening to the first half of the Edo featuring angular trees interspersed with blossoming cherries, a torrent splashing angrily through the right quarter topped with moriage gold clouds. Many repairs and losses to the heavy pigments attest to the great age of the painting. Excellent size for wall mounting, it is 62 x 138 inches (157.5 x 350 cm). The border is from a later mounting.
