LIAO Dynasty Terracotta Buddhist Votive tsa tsa Plaque/Amulet, China AD. 907 - 1125, with very fine details. Nicely mounted on a wooden base. Originates from a group of varied tablet sizes that were excavated, most likely from the foundations of an ancient Buddhist temple, placed there to ensure success and prosperity. Condition good, inconsequential chip/hairline, no restorations. Size: 2.75" (7 cm.)

Hand shrine, or zushi, in the shape of a lotus bud, carved in two halves. On the inside, on one side the standing figure of Amida Nyorai on a lotus base, his hands in mudra. The other half of the lotus bud is decorated with a mutsume pattern (imitating a triaxial weaving) in kirikane (very thin strips of gold foil). Japan, Edo period, early 19th century.

Four(4) Chinese Lacquer on wood high foot Dishes or Coasters, in red and gold decoration, all four(4) dishes have slightly different design on the top, made early 1900's or late 1800's, export for antiquities wax seal on the bottom, Chinese characters on the bottom. There are some lacquer losses and wood separation between top and bottom rim area.

A Nihonga Scene mounted on a two panel screen of a thatched house in the winter forest, blossoms just opening on the garden trees by Takahashi Shiko (1897-1970). The scene has been created over a complete wash of white, making the crisp early spring morning real and sharp. The screen measures 74-1/2 x 67-1/2 inches (189 x 172 cm) and is in excellent condition bordered in a red lacquer frame typical of the 1920s and 30s and retains the original backing paper. This antique Tibetan neckace bronze pendent has a cast bronze pendent with coral and turquoise beads. The pendent is suspended from a hand made chain.
