SOLD. Frog sculpted from a large-grained sandstone. Late-Edo Period ca. 1825. Minor old loss with desirable lichen accumulation overall, including rust-hued patches due to the high iron content of the stone.
Height: 12.5 cm A garden classic, realistically rendered and showing decent age. Chinese pottery granary jar with amber and green glaze, round shape, decorated with bands of incised lines on the body, and supported by three legs in the shape of bears. It is difficult to find Han granary in amber and green glaze like this.

Large navy blue cotton cloth, 84" x 80 1/2", meticulously hand stitched with old Japanese folk art, sashiko stitches. It is a piece of art that began as a necessity among the farmers.
