This is a beautiful and highly unusual Meiji era vase. It's decorated with gold fish or Oranda swimming around water plants and hanging wisteria. It measures Measures 9 5/8". An early Edo period Ki-Seto sake cup repurposed with a silver lid pierced with a chrysanthemum to function as an incense burner enclosed in a custom made silk pouch and bamboo case dating the transformation to New Years of Kae-7 (1854). Without the lid it is 5.5 cm (roughly 2 inches) diameter and in excellent condition.

A joyful yellow light seems to shine like a jewel from within the fissures of this cool tea bowl by Kitagawa Kazuki enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kasane iro-me Chawan. It is 12 cm (4-3/4 inches) diameter, 8 cm (3 inches) tall and in excellent condition from the artist this autumn. This artist works by creating the body with subsequent applications of variously colored liquid clay, then scoring away the surface to create patterns by revealing the various layers.

This is a fine Japanese vase from the Meiji era with impeccable workmanship. The silver wire work and thick enamel are flawless much like a Namikawa Yasayuki piece. It is also has the weight of a Namikawa piece, but could have been created by Honda or Shibata. The high quality of this vase is more apparent when in hand. It is adorned with 30 butterflies. The vase stands 6 inches tall and is in excellent condition.
