$350.00 A fine quality water pot for use on the scholars desk. The porcelain is very white and translucent. The fine blue art work shows two five toed dragons chasing the flaming pearl. There is a six character Guangxu Dynasty mark on the base, but it is not the mark used by the Royal Kiln. As the pot is not Imperial Ware we believe it was made during the Republic Period in Guangxu Style. The pot measures about 4 1/8" in diameter x 2 7/8" high.

sold thank you This Japanese antique tsutsugaki textile fireman coat Sashiko Edo era(1800-1867), has a beautiful and dynamic drawing of a hawk that spreads its wings and flaps powerfully on the bold waves. This powerful hawk movement is a painting that is rarely seen in the firefighter Sashiko. And the sharp eyes of the hawk are very impressive. There is a light stain on the bottom wave, but it is not noticeable. There is no damage.

SOLD This is an authentic nephrite jade huang carved, as one would expect, entirely by hand, done in a translucent pale greenish-gray jade with russet inclusions. It measures some 5-1/2" (14cm) end to end and is in excellent condition given its great age. A rare Burmese book with paper (made from mulberry tree bark) pages, the front and back covers with lacquer relief decoration with small inset glass spangles. The central panels showing the title of the book in Burmese script. Approximately 280 pages, handwritten in black Burmese script, edges gilt. Condition: covers are dusty (one is dirty) and with some wear, some corners with small losses. Pages with few stains, but wormholes. Dimension: 39.4 x 17.6 x 9.5 cm, weight: 2.4 kg.
Diameter approximately 46 cm. Few soft chips at the rim. All colors are original, still intact and nothing extra. Good handwriting and different from the same type. Very special and rare. More pictures are available. In good condition.

Standing Bato (Horse-Head) Kannon Bosatsu, the hands forming the gassho-like Bato-in mudra and a small horse-head lying horizontally across the figure's head, sculpted figurally from tuff, an igneous stone composed primarily of volcanic ash. Clearly dated on the back to the ninth year of the Kansei imperial reign period (1797), late-Edo Period.

Yosegi-zukuri joined-block wooden construction, finished in natural-pigment polychrome and gilt. Early-Edo Period ca. 1650. Loss of all attributes originally held in the hands, old loss to the polychrome finish, and old repairs.
