Jizo Bosatsu seated upon a lotus-form dais atop a rock-form plinth sculpted from a single block of wood, the right hand holding a gilt-copper shakujo (crozier) and the left a hoju (sacred jewel). Late-Edo Period ca. 1800. Partial loss of the gilt-copper necklace, and loss of the mandorla, originally attached to the figure's upper back.
Height, including rock-form plinth and crozier: 11.5 cm A gem-quality little Jizo in unfinished wood.

Price on Request Sho-Kannon Bosatsu seated on a lotus-form dais. Yosegi-zukuri joined wood-block construction, finished in lacquer and gilt, the ornamental head-piece in gilt-copper and the eyes of inset rock-crystal. Early-Edo Period ca. 1675. Excellent condition, with only minor old loss to the head-piece and loss of the rock-crystal originally inset in the urna, with desirable patination overall.
