Rabbits can jump high, that implies a leap forward, and also, they are prolific animal, and it implies procreation. Probably made in Tohoku district. Vintage rattan and walnut oval dining table with two leaves. Each leaf is 18 inches wide. This table can adjust to a 45 inch round or up to a 81 inches and 29 inches high. It can easily seat 6 -8 chairs depending on the size of the chairs. The legs and trim are a striated organic rattan with the top and leaves in walnut. Two original leaves included.

An ivory okimono depicting a man, frightened by the presence of two mice moving around him. At his feet, a mouse is positioned on an inverted lantern, carved with a small hole from which it seems to have just emerged while another mouse climbs onto his kimono. Period: Meiji late 19th century. Dimensions: 10 x 5.5 x 4.5 cm. Condition: Excellent. There are natural ivory threads and the typical ivory nerve is visible under the man's chin.

A Tokyo School ivory okimono depicting a young fisherman boy returning from a day of fishing. In his left hand he holds two fish while in his right hand he holds two bamboo poles. Signed Shunsei (Toshimasa) 俊正 under the base. Period: Meiji late 19th century. Dimensions: 20 x 9 x 7 cm. Condition: Excellent. There are natural ivory lines, in particular a vertical one on the kimono along the boy's left leg.
