A black Raku ceremonial tea bowl displaying an excellent patina bestowed by time. The light colored clay peeks through in areas giving this piece a unique feel. Though the box is signed by the artist known as Rakuen, details on this particular potter seem to be lost to time. Six matching pairs of sterling silver salts and pepper shakers, artistically done in the form of the koi (carp or goldfish). The container for the salt is also silver, and the finely ground pepper loads into a threaded hole at the base and comes out of the holes in the mouth and eyes. A small Korean lidded burial jar from the Silla Dynasty, United Period, 8/9th Century. The jar has an overall stamped design, and shows kiln glossing over its otherwise unglazed exterior. An antique Tibetan traveling trunk made of hand hewn Pine wood. Leather was stretched over the wood and hand painted in polychrome lacquer. There are arrow shaped hard mounts, butterfly appliqué mounts on the corners and Dorje accents. The central panel features an offering tray of Hoju (sacred jewels). Stylized Peonies decorate the trunk and the main colors used were analogous primary hues. The cover of the top features a green water dragon.

A medium sized Imari bowl from the 19th Century. The bowl is of fine quality and has a rare, hand applied, overall brocade decoration. In the inside there is a garden scene and a golden hawk that are made to look like they are from a rolled out scroll. The bowl measures about 2 1/2" high x 8 1/2" in diameter, and it is in excellent condition. There is a little wear on the gold highlights. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

This is an antique two section Korean Nong made of a hardwood with beautiful Maple wood accents. Original Nickel hardware with four drawers along the upper part of each section. There are bat handles representing happiness and medallions behind the lower handles signifying a wedding.
