$8,000 Antique Chinese lapis bottle with raised carvings of a taotie motif over squared spiral designs with dragon heads, and pierced spiraling dragons on the bottles' sides. There are carved downwards pointing leaves near the top with two handles in the form of beast heads and carved rings. The lid has an artichoke shaped finial. Comes with a delicate hardwood stand with silver inlay.

The flip side of the container is carved with a long-stemmed sunflower and puffs of smoke. The lid has reticulated carvings of a sunflower and stems with two birds perched upon it. circa 19 century

$750.00 Chinese Nephrite Jade reclining Horse Toggle, white with light brown inclusions with very smooth oily patina, Ca. before 1900, 2 1/8" long, 1 1/8" high, horse is seated position looking backward, with small hole through the top to the bottom. It is difficult to capture the translucent white Jade through camera. The condition is good.

SOLD Chinese carved coral scene of two beautiful young shepherdesses with their sheep, one stands with her back against a tall pine tree and blows her whistle, the other feeds the little sheep from a cylindrical container, another sheep and a little lamb frolic nearby, beautifully carved with great detail, mid 20th century.

SOLD Large Chinese jade (nephrite) ceremonial piece, in the style of the Liangzhu period (3400-2250 BC), with carvings of faces. This nephrite piece is solid and has a pointed tip, and dpierced hole through its very top. The carvings around its edges look like eyes and may be related to the taotie (roughly "gluttonous ogre mask") motif, which were essentially symmetrical zoomorphic faces with no lower jaw, thought by scholars to be linked to religious ceremony and the afterlife...

$850.00 White jadeite carving, with areas of orange, of a smiling immortal man with long, flowing robes and his hair tied into a bun. He is identified as an immortal being by his long earlobes. His left hand holds the sash of his belt, while his right hand holds what appears to be a yoke over his shoulder. He is very detailed and even has extremely tiny nostril holes. 19th/20th century
