A very unique architectural element showing a warrior on a mythical beast. These were used as adornments to beautify the home as well as to tell a story. This well carved piece of Chinese history dates to the late 19th century and is considered in excellent unrestored condition. The painting of various colors adds luster to this hard to find antique. There is damage to the backside, but does not detract from the overall beauty. It measures 10.5" long, 8" high. just under 4" inches deep.

A Chinese jade vase of spinach hue with darker splashes; it is carved on both sides of the body with flower head scrolls, the shoulders are decorated with elephant heads and mobile rings. The cover terminates with a knob carved in a fluted design. Chinese miniature quartz sculpture of a a woman with an attendant from the 19th century. The woman is robed and holding a flowering branch in her right hand, a basket in her left. The figure to her right is kneeling, with agate base. It measures 2" long, 1.25" deep, 2.5" tall.

A CHINESE FOLDING FAN.

A Chinese paper fan with bamboo sticks, the paper centre is varnished in order to stiffen the paper. The bamboo sticks are decorated with a hot point, a technique known in the West as pyrography. There is a worn out silk tassel with a large amethyst bead.
