On a background of green satin silk two lion dogs, or foo dogs, are playing with a ball and each other between peonies and other flowers, next to a rock formation, a bat in the upper right corner. They are embroidered by hand with bright colors of silk in straight stiches and looped stiches, the lions detailed and outlined with gold-thread, which are twisted silk threads wrapped in thin gold foil...

$550.00 Greenish white jade bead necklace. It is made up of 45 beads. The central pearl is the largest, having a diameter of 15mm, the other pearls are of decreasing diameter. The clasp is in gilt filigree silver and is hallmarked "silver" on the reverse.Probably Chinese work from the 20th century.The colour is a very pale green The color is a pretty very pale green (the photo is correct for the colour).

solded Cast bronze censer gilded with mercury. Decor of Greek friezes and incised precious objects. The gilding is largely worn, we still see some in the places most protected from wear and tear. It is thick and of good quality, it is a hot-pasted mercury gilding technique. The handles are attached to the body they were cast with it, they are not added, riveted or welded, they represent dragon heads. On the base foot we can see a vertical dark trace of solding that is probably an old restauration...

$1,200.00 Cast pewter dropper in the shape of a doe. The animal is lying down, it is hollow and its mouth is pierced with a hole letting the water flow drop by drop. A leg is broken but is easily repairable, we can do this free of charge on request. The pewter seems covered in places with a thin layer of lacquer, or is it an old deposit of smoke, dust and oxides due to age. Probably Chinese work, of undetermined period with precision, but most certainly old. Qing period...

Height: 6.2 cm (2.4 in) Chinese famille rose porcelain bowl; two main gilt bordered panels enclosing floral bouquets; internally showing a diapered border below the rim; gilt wear and tiny frit to the rim; good condition Covered pot in Chinese Imari porcelain decorated with peonies and chrysanthemums in a pot. The domed lid is surmounted by a seated figure in gilt bronze.
The lips and the circumference of the lid are underlined by a floral motif in blue underglaze arranged in a frieze, enhanced by gilding and punctuated by small cartouches. The golden handles remind a plant motif...

The simply twisted handles seem to be part of the one and the same casting which would be a technical feat because I don't see any traces or rivets or welds. A frieze of stylized flowers surrounds the upper body. On the front part, the prestigious mark of Emperor Xuande cast in high relief is probably apocryphal...
