DESCRIPTION: A lovely Chinese bamboo-framed cabinet having painted scenes of bamboo and birds on a yellow ground. The rectangular top is mounted over a door that opens to an interior cabinet with three shelves. A delightful piece for the bedroom or country/cottage interior, 20th C. Antique Chinese jade toggle, hand-carved with craggy landscape scenes, scholars, willow trees, and temples. The natural coloration and form of the jade are well-utilized in the stylized carvings.

Piece dates from the 19th century beautifully carved from a jade river pebble. Dimensions: 2" W x 3"H

Apart from the very nice underglaze blue and white decoration with four deers it is the extraordinary wide form of the body that makes this jarlet to a really special piece of its kind. Ming Dynasty, Wanli period ( 1573 - 1620 ) Jingdezhen ware. Diameter: 9,2 cm. H : 7,8 cm. Condition : Perfect.

H. 14,5 cm. One side decorated with a landscape with figures, the other side with flowers. Condition: firing crack in the neck, age cracks in the glaze. Comes with the original Christie's sticker, the original certificate and the invoice from 1992. The Vung Tau sank in 1690 on its way from China to Batavia, Indonesia. The cargo was meant for Amsterdam. The wreck was found in the early 90's and it's content was auctioned at Christie's Amsterdam in 1992...

Dehua porcelain, more traditionally known in the west as Blanc de Chine, is a type of white Chinese porcelain, made at Dehua in the Fujian Province. It as been produced from the Ming Dynasty to the present day.

This large Chinese porcelain Dehua figure is of the Goddess of Compassion, Quan Yin. Her draped robes show well rendered, realistic modeling. A willow sprig peeks out from under her headdress...

Chinese antique pair of large stone lions (ShiShi) in dramatic traditional poses. The male lion has it's paw on the embroidered ball - when placed outside a buiding, this represents protection of the material structure. The female lion has it's paw on a playful cub - when placed outside a building, this represents protection of the building's occupants.

Small seal of square base, with a snarling tiger on its top. Bronze, with partly encrusted reddish-green patina. China, Ming Dynasty or earlier. Height: 2.9 cm. Very good condition.

Antique Japanese 2-section isho tansu (clothing chest), made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. The top section has two large full width drawers. The bottom section has one large full width drawer and one medium drawer. The lower right hand side has a safe box with heavy iron work on the hinged door. Inside are two small drawers. The front of the chest has beautiful heavy iron hardware including warabite shaped drawer pulls...

A nice example of Late Ming Wanli period Kraak type white glazed bowl decorated with incised floral design and thinly potted. Condition is damaged into two part and re-glued. Diameter: 15 cm.

Chinese late Ming dynasty Wanli period Zhangzhou (Swatow) porcelain deep dish decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a roundel at the center holding a phoenix bird standing on a rock under trees in a landscape. A thick border of six floral panels reserved on a fish scale background surrounds the rim. Typical sand grit to the base. 16th/17th century. 11 3/8” diameter x 2 1/4” high. A nice and elegant shaped of black glaze ewer, with four lugs to the shoulder and covered overall with rich black tone. Song/Yuan Dynasty possibly Fujian ware. Founded in South-Sulawesi. Condition is good, only tiny re-touched to rim. Height: 14 cm, Maximum wide; 18 cm.

A very rare found incense burner, standing on three legs and the cover with open work of floral pattern, covered overall with Qinghai slight bluish green glazed. Condition with a short firing crack to the inner rim, no chip and free from any restoration. Song/Yuan Dynasty Jindezhen Qingbai

A Chinese paired apron wraparound silk gored skirt, woven in tapestry (kesi, kossu, k'o-suu) technique with some silver wrapped threads and painted details, attached to an undyed cotton waistband and trimmed by a brocaded band. The panels are showing an imperial imagery of the celestial landscape with five-clawed dragons and phoenixes, against a green ground. The "long" dragons were probably covered by peacock feathers, rarely survived to the present days...
