$850 Sold This is another antique wine bottle of the Song Dynasty from our collection. This large wine bottle is about 1000 years old and has been made in the Ji Kiln. It has a dark glazed body with an some unglazed dragon / phoenix decoration. It is in good condition. There are only some little spoils of time and a little scratch ( please watch photos )... A fine applique panel mounted on gold foil, embroidered in tiny Peking knot and gold thread. Showing a big cat in a landscape, in an old European frame with antique finish. Condition: little faded. Dimension total: 27 cm x 19.5 cm.
Chinese Qing dynasty ornately carved rootwood fly-whisk handle. Fly-whisks were carried by Buddhist priests to wave away flies which, according to Buddhist tenets, they could not kill. The fly-whisk is also a symbol of leadership. 19th century. 10 3/8" long. Very good overall condition with a nice patina. There are a few thin cracks visible in the enlargements. This piece is from the private collection of American expatriates who lived in Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s...

Sold A very nice Chinese hardwood lid for a jar. Wood unknown, but is the color of a dark rosewood. In excellent condition, the lid measures 3.25" diameter by 2.25" including finial. Fits an opening 1 5/8th inches or larger".
We have a matching 2 inch high stand with the inner diameter being 3 inches for $35.

Sold in our Liverpool shop - June 2014 / 利物浦 店内售出 - 2014年6月 A European shape porcelain tea caddy painted in underglaze blue depicting houses and pavillions in a river landscape.
This item was made in Jingdezhen (southern China) for export to Europe, circa 1760-1780, during the reign of the Qianlong emperor.

Condition: there is an old 3cm hairline on the shoulder and a minute chip to the one corner of the same shoulder (please view enlarge...

Sold to USA - November 2013 售至美国 - 2013年11月 A rare and finely carved 18th Century Chinese "honey yellow" soapstone Luohan, probably Damo (Bodhidarma). On the back is carved "made by Shang Jun".
Condition - very good. This item was originally set with semi-precious stones but, with the exception of one white stone on the collar behind the neck, all are now missing; there are natural "flaws" intrinsic to the stone which pre-date the carving. There have been no repairs and there has been no restoration.

Please ask Kraak porcelain export dish from the Wanli period (1573-1619). Diameter 14,8 cm. , H. 4,5 cm. Condition: very minor flea bites to the rim, a 6 mm rough spot in the glaze on the rim, probably a firing flaw. No cracks or repairs. Some oven sand attached to the foot rim.
