Sold. Thank you Up for sale is a bolt of antique chinese silk brocade, yardage with roundel of auspicious symbols for Manchu man's robe, 19th or early 20th century. A lot of material, more than enough to make a big robe. 2 groups of 3 small roundels are for making the horse-shoe cuffs as pointed out in the picture. 22nd picture below show a piece of old paper sticks to the corner and a inked seal.
Overall is in excellent condition, shinny, no wear, no stain or fading, color is bright...

The imagery used on this Chinese carving can be derived from the noted legend of Journey to the West, where the monkey king is assigned by the Jade Emperor to oversee the heavenly stables, but does mischief in the end. Horses in East Asia represent swiftness and the monkey representing representing foolishness yet with the ability to learn its lesson. Age: 20th century. Size: height 4.25" width 5.5" length 6.5"

$7,500.00 Antique Chinese tassels from the 18th centur, Sino-TIbetan. The tassels are inlaid gilt and lacquered iron with red horse hair, probably used as ornaments on a horse for the saddle. The decoration has fret key bands and an endless knot pattern. The tassles are displayed in a plastic case. The top of the tassle measures 4" long(10.2 cm).

The base carries the reign mark of the Daoguang emperor and this item was possibly made during his reign. Condition - there are chips and cracks to the rim - please view enlargements - would make a good study piece...

The bowl has subtle textures, the center has a faint lotus flower encircled by an incised line, the body has radiating lines from the center, the rim of the bowl is slightly recessed. It measures 14" in diameter, 5" tall. The base has an unglazed ring where it was fired in the kiln and the unglazed ceramic can be seen.
