The is a very rare large Koi vase created by a master. The koi are large and much finer than most ever seen on this style of vase. The vase is 9 1/2 tall and 11 1/4 inches wide. Rims are silver with an old Jungin stamp. Condition of this vase is excellent.

A long-necked original bronze vase with a rounded body. The top of the slender neck has a ring midway and swells out at the mouth in the shape of a garlic bulb, giving the vase its special name. It has a nice aging patina. It can be cleaned but I wouldn't recommend it.

A Chinese porcelain dish decorated with under glazed cobalt, famille verte enamel, and gilt. Kangxi period. Condition: there is a repaired 1/2" long shallow chip on the rim, please see photos #4 and #5 for the inside and outside views of the repair; there are a few other very tiny glaze flakes on the rim and have been repaired, a newer layer of gilt was applied to the rim. A small Chinese trumpet shaped porcelain vase in gilt mirror-black glaze, six characters "Daqing Kangxi Nianzhi" mark inside the foot rim, we date it to late 19th century. The vase is in perfect condition beside gilt losing. Height: 6"

Japanese gold lacquer inro with five compartments, decorated in low relief landscape scene of lakeside mountains, cottages, pagodas, pine trees, and bridges in gold lacquer and accents of silver. The reverse side shows a tiny man in a boat traversing the waters. The inside compartments are covered with dense nashiji lacquer (fine gold flecks). Antique Tibetan thangka painting of Green Tara, one of the manifestations of the bodhisattva of protection. The central figure of Green Tara is flanked by bodhisattvas while the Amitabha Buddha is seated directly above her head. Below Tara are a fierce deity with mortal attendants carrying offerings. Thangka translates to “that which can be rolled up”, as traveling monks could easily carry them from place to place to use as a teaching tool.

Japanese boxwood ojime bead carving of a skull, finely detailed with realistic cranial fissures, missing teeth, pierced eye sockets and nasal cavity, with tiny handmade chisel marks visible under the jaw. The ojime is a cord fastening bead, used to secure an inro container to the wearer's obi or sash.
