SOLD Large Korean wooden statue of the Amida Buddha or Amitābha, also known as "The Buddha of Infinite Light." He was covered in an oyster shell pigment in order to smooth out the woodgrain, a red lacquer was applied over it, and finally a gold leaf topcoat was applied. He is typically shown in a standing position and is oddly portrayed seated in this statue. 19th century

SOLD Chinese porcelain rice bowl with a matching footed lid, decorated with red snarling dragons, surrounded by pink and blue puffs of smoke and red embers. The lid's top has pink flowers with pretty twisting vines, and around the bottom of the bowl is a blue-green wave pattern. The lid and bowl have marks that read "Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi" (1875-1908).
