A piece of Iyo-zome cloth which is made of hand-spun cotton and has katazome (stencil-resist-dye) pattern. The name Iyo-zome is originated from Iyo sudare (bamboo screen) since the pattern looks like wood grain by looking through two layers of them. Chinese Tang Dynasty Glazed Pottery Ox (AD 618 - 906)

This pottery model of a standing ox, or bull, was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from quite a high-fired creamy-white pottery that has been coated in a golden-yellow glaze that is very finely crackled.

Length 15.5 cm. It does have repairs but all parts are original. The price reflects the repairs.

This pottery model of a ewer was made during the 16th century (c.1550 - 1600). It is made from a hard creamy-white pottery and coated mostly in a green glaze with just a touch of yellow glaze at the tip of the "spout".

A 19th century fan shaped dish from Southern Kyoto decorated with sailboats passing the pines of Matsushima in front of Mt. Fuji enclosed in an old wooden collectors box. It is 23.5 x 16 x 2.5 cm (9-1/2 x 6-1/4 x 1 inches), with minor chips to the edges typical of the softer clay of Awata. It is stamped on the underside Rakunan, Junzan.
