Seated Shaka Buddha with hands placed centrally on the lap in the jo-in concentration mudra, sculpted from wood and finished in lacquer and gilt, the eyes of inset crystal. Large Korean Antique Lacquered Sword with Painted Dragons. 58.5 inches, 148.5 cm.

Forearm/hand fragment of a bosatsu (bodhisattva) sculpted from a single piece of wood. Early-Muromachi Period ca. 1400. Very minor old wood loss, with traces of the original ground and polychrome.

An exquisitely rendered forearm/hand fragment originally attached at the right elbow joint of a bosatsu, indicated by the double-bracelet motif at the wrist, of approximately 75 cm in height (if a standing depiction) or 45 cm (if a seated depiction).

Oversized Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga “kappa-ban” (stencil print) of a tengu mask titled “Mayoke Tengu” (also known as "Tengu-shaped Amulet") by Yoshitoshi Mori (1898-1992). A haunting vessel by Miyagawa Kozan enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Haku Korai Bin, Yukan Tsuki (White Korean form with free handles). This piece is the epitome of the elegance which came from Japanese working with traditional forms. Devoid of decoration, the shape stands alone among works by this famous artist. It is 10-1/2 inches (27 cm) tall and is in perfect condition. I will enclose a rosewood stand for display purposes with this vase.
