Pair of Chinese Tang (618-907) to Five Dynasties (907-960) olive-gray glazed Yue ware 10-petal foliate lotus-leaf shaped shallow bowls with flat bases. The characteristic spur marks are in the interior of the bowls. Circa 9th/10th century. Each measures 1 5/8” high x 5 ½” diameter. The poem reads - "The day go fishing at Shui River. the morning having dream on Qi Shan Mountain." Both are famous locations in Shaanxi province, central northern China. This item was made in China during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor (1662-1722).

Sold to USA - January 2010 售至美国 - 2010年1月 A very attractive, well patinated bronze censer on lotus form stand with ruyi - shaped feet. On the base is the six character seal mark of the Xuande Emperor but this item was made later, during the 17th Century - late Ming or early Qing. The censer appears to have been used as a plant pot - the base has been drilled in three places and there are heavy malachite - tinged encrustations to the interior (please see pictures).

SOLD Japanese antique 2-section mizuya (kitchen tansu), from the Niigata area of Japan, made with keyaki wood on front and side bracing, deep orange / red original translucent lacquer finish with wonderful deep pantina, iron side hardware, unusual lacquered wood carved drawer knobs, each compartment with one long original shelf, Edo Period (18th/19th century).

Sold. Thank you. This is a very rare Lever Brothers' Chinese framed poster calendar dated 1919. The two women pictured on the calendar are actually men dressed as women as women were not permitted at that time to pose for these posters. Size: Poster. 74 x50.3cm. Frame. 102.5 x 88.2cm.
Condition: Very Good.A few small tears that are not noticeable. Poster is professionally framed under glass.
Tall Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period famille verte Kangxi revival porcelain rouleau vase decorated with scenes from the Chinese literary classic “Romance of the Three Kingdoms.” 17 3/4” high. Circa 1900. Finely painted and in very good overall condition. The base was drilled for a lamp.
A rarely encountered Japanese oversized sosaku hanga woodblock print by Asaga Manjiro (1885-1965) dating circa 1950's. Asaga Manjiro was the elder brother of Maekawa Senpan. He was known for his Noh theater and Otsu-e prints. Paper size: 20 1/4"V x 15 3/8"H (image: 17 5/8" x 12 7/8"). Excellent condition with full margins. Never framed. Traces of paper residue from the original folder remain on the back at the left top and bottom corners.

SOLD White Rabbit Ceramic Sculpture by Takegawa Chikusai (1809-1882), created in his final year, 1882. Takegawa Chikusai was responsible for putting Banko Yaki, and the Banko-gama kiln (established 1829) and its home of Yokkaichi City in Mie-ken back on its feet and on the map. Banko Yaki had previously been made in the early Edo Period in Kyoto.
