Golden Age Antiques
$450.00 This is an attractive early satsuma Koro or incense burner with very fine workmanship. I believe it may be pre-1900 because it appears to have been made with thicker mercury fired gold. Lid and bottom piece are both marked with a museum inventory number. The lid has been repaired and it looks quite good. The images show where it was broken. It stands about 4 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide. It is signed but I do not recognize the signature.

Fair overall condition, with some wear due to condiderable age inside the bowl. solded Lot of 7 medallions in gilded copper, cut, cloisonné and enamelled with Chinese characters and lotus flowers on a background cutted of Swastika. It seems that the pattern is related to wishes for great longevity. Very rare if not unique set. What was it used for? It would seem that the lightness of the medallions as well as their beautiful quality make them suitable for wearing as jewelry, sewn on a belt, a piece of clothing or a hat trick?
Diameter of the 3 large medallions 80mm and 55mm fo...

The painted decoration comprises elaborate scrolling cloud and geometric patterns. In places on the su... Fine Chinese Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Covered Box
This attractively-painted pottery box, complete with its cover, was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It is made from a relatively highly-fired grey pottery (box & cover have a ring when tapped) that has been "cold painted" in various coloured pigments, very good traces of which still remain. The scrolling design seems to be a mixture of cloud and, possibly, zoomorphic patterns. The function of this vessel was as a food... Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Enamelled Porcelain Bowl
This attractive porcelain bowl was made during the Wanli Reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty.
