A Han style (maybe of the period) white jade cicada in simple design and carved with clean lines showing superior craftsmanship. We date it Qing Dynasty or earlier, but it was probably from Han Dynasty. Condition: there are some calcification on the tip of the wings, which caused some tiny chips; some age veins on the lower part of the cicada (please see photo #4 and #5 for details). Length: 7 cm; width: 3.5 cm.

Chinese round porcelain jar as a cricket container with mottled red and white glaze. The lid is wood carved with the auspicious Shou symbol for ventilation. The foot tapers slightly and is glazed in white.

A Chinese gilt lacquered bronze Guanyin from Ming Dynasty. Condition: lacquer and metal loses, there is only part of the reddish-gold lacquer still remains on the surface. Exceptional thinly carved pair of Nephrite jade of opaque and translucent chromophore composed of a dark green and mottled matrix indicative of spinach jade. The Gu shaped vase is a rectangular form (viewed from the top) with its splaying profile delineated on all terminating four corners with a flaring trumpet neck and mouth opening...

A pair antique reticulated Chinese silver incense stick holders. Decorated with dragons among clouds chasing the pearl, fixed on Chinese pierced wooden stands. No maker's mark, silver tested. Condition: some traces of usage. Dimension: total c. 11.9 cm high, diameter base: 8.6 cm.

A pair of Chinese cloisonne incense burners in the shape of celestial cocks with fishes as their tails. Late 19th to early 20th century. A nicely carved jade pendant in the shape of a bamboo surrounded by leaves in two colors. Bamboo is a Chinese symbol for longevity because of its durability, strength, flexibility and resilience. It survives in the harshest conditions. Size: H. 6 cm. W. 4.2 cm. Condition: No repairs.

A pair Chinese silver spill vases made for the Western export or used in the Chinese market as incense stick holders. Decorated with prunus twigs, standing on three splayed feet with original clear glass inserts. Base with maker's mark "WH90", standing for the Wang Hing Company, working in Shanghai and Hong Kong around 1900. Condition: fine, few traces of usage, one insert seems to be a bit too long. Dimension: c. 11.6 cm high, weight of silver: 90 g.

An oval box made of white brass (baitong). The top lid incised with banana leaves, chrysanthemum and bamboo. The inside of the lid with an abrasive surface for grinding ink. With copper lining and base. Dimension: 7.6 cm x 5.8 cm x 2.6 cm. Condition: traces of use, top lid with spot and some wear.
