Printed in 1884, this fine woodblock depicts Hideyoshi Toyotomi blowing a mouth organ as well as other famous warriors, before the attack on the fortress/castle of Tottori in 1581. This is thick hemp Noren of the Meiji period. As for this, words are dyed with black dye. The words are written as Mensa. Probably I think this to be an item of the business to sell noodles. This has several places of thin stains, but does not stand out. The state is good. Size 135cm x 122cm (48 53.1 "x")

This is muslin Katazome kimono of the Taisho era. As for this, a pattern is a shadow picture. Children carry a child miniature shrine on their shoulder and enjoy the festival for children. There are a small hole and stain in several places. Size 75cmx64cm (29.5 "x25.1")

A Chinese hand painted porcelain miniature sleeve vase with bird scenes. Some minor wear to the enamels, otherwise condition very good, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines. Vase measures 3.5" high and dates circa 1880. A lovely piece to add to your collection.

DESCRIPTION: A very old Chinese wooden incense holder, crafted in the form of a partially unrolled scroll that bends and folds to form the container. On the edges of the “scroll” is a relief carved key pattern border with traces of gilt; the worn lacquer surface still shows the original designs of a bird, flower, bamboo and Chinese characters. Very rare and unusual wood tiled village shrine from Dema - mura village in Mie Province. Dated the year of the tiger C.1818 the shrine houses gods and happiness. Signed on the back with the date and maker, Fujiwara Shokichi. Cypress wood with a bronze lock on the doors to the inner chamber. Antique Chinese pair of beautiful hardwood cabinets (jumu wood) with open display shelves that have carved side panels with dragons and flora. Its two swinging doors with dramatic woodgrain open with brass fittings and have a roomy, shelved interior within. The finish of the wood is deep red with brown-orange highlights. 19th century. Japanese antique large musha ningyo (samurai warrior doll) of the great epic hero, Minamoto no Yoshitsune. His handsome face is set in a determined expression, he is seated with sword and saihai (command baton). He wears a spiked helmut, armor and silk robe woven with dragons. Edo Period. The forms and colors he uses are pleasing to the eye in the way they compliment each other. Signature in bottom. Tibetan bronze gilt statue of Kubera, known as the "Lord of Wealth and the North". He originates from Hindu mythology but is also recognized in Buddhism and Jainism. He holds a mongoose as a symbol of his victory over the Nagas, snakelike deities and guardians over treasures. He sits upon the back of a lionlike creature and has an arch of flames with gilt tips behind him. The jewels on his crown and around his neck are dotted with blue and red enamel.
