SOLD Beautiful Tibetan painting depicting white Tara and four other bodhisatvas, originally this was a book cover for a sacred text, painted in mineral colors on canvas and mounted like a thangka. 18th century.

$4,500.00 Wonderful Indian bronze altar with the Hindu god Vishnu flanked by two female consorts, the three figures stand together on a raised platform with the four armed Vishnu in the center, a many headed naga (cobra snake) opens it's hood like an umbrella over Vishnu's head, a flat nimbus behind the figures depicts tendrils of water flowing from the mouths of two makara. Southern India. 19th century.

Below are two drawers with metal handles, the drawer faces carved with flowers with outstretched leaves and stems, forming a semi-arch. The bottom has two removable doors with mirror-image carvings of two budding flowers with tall stems and metal door pulls.

SOLD. Seated Jizo Bosatsu with hands in the gassho mudra of adoration, figuratively sculpted from tuff, an igneous stone composed primarily of volcanic ash. Late-Edo Period ca. 1825. Very minor old loss, with surface pitting and softening of the lines and contours overall. Excellent lichen accumulation.
Height: 20.5 cm A blissfully meditative little Jizo stone, with good age and in excellent condition.

Sold This is a large fine Japanese cloisonne vase from Gonda. The wireless work is beautiful. The use of the subtle yellow tones behind Mt Fuji are an exquisite touch. We have had several of the small vases like this but never one this large or this quality from Gonda. The vase stands 7 1/4 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It is mounted with silver rims and the condition is outstanding.
