SOLD Amazingly beautiful antique Japanese textile in a black wooden frame, with a background of ivory-colored cloth with light blue and yellow sewn birds and cloud-like designs within circular patterns. The two Japanese gods Daikoku, god of prosperity and darkness, and Ebisu, god of fishermen and luck, are shown sharing a bowl of sake.

SOLD. Pair of Koma-Inu guardian lion-dogs, one with mouth open ("ah") and the other with mouth closed ("un"), the front and rear sections of each Koma-Inu sculpted from a single piece of wood. Nanbokucho / early-Muromachi Period ca. 1400. Partial loss to the right-rear foot of the "Ah" piece, and loss of the tail of the "Un" piece. Traces of polychrome and lacquer.
