An antique Japanese large Osaka Todana Tansu (storage chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Hinoki (Cypress) wood. Two large sliding doors opens to a spacious area for storage. Mitered corners with mortise and tenon joinery and side slats incorporated for strength and support. Original bronze hardware.

An antique Japanese 2 section Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Keyaki (Zelkova) woods. Original hand forged iron hardware. Upper section has a pair of sliding doors designed with individual vertical slats with 5 side by side drawers below. Bottom section has 2 sliding doors with spacious storage behind.

An antique Japanese Shikiita Kadai burl wood display stand used for a Bonsai or Ikebana base. Hand carved upper perimeter rim with the organic exterior surrounding edge that was left intact. A beatiful stand that would showcase any object of art.

Applied gold and colored glass decorate this Rimpa inspired yellow sake set by Kuroki Kuniaki enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kinsai Korin Hisago (Applied Gold Korin Series Gourd). The flask is 11 cm (4-1/2 inches) tall, the cups 5 cm (2 inches) tall and all are in excellent condition, a superb and functional example of this important artists work.

Good Tamil, carved wood temple panel of the Hindu God Shiva manifested as Virabhadra, he is brandishing a sword and holds a shield. This was acquired in the late 1990s from a well-known Sri Lanka dealer and collector, from Kandy. This is a heavy (1.7kg), possibly Jack Fruit woodcarving. Ensemble of vintage silver and ancient banded agate beads from Sri Lanka. These were acquired in Kandy in 1998 or 1989, the banded agates are all hand carved and are at least 1000 years old (conservatively). Pair of old hand carved spoons from the Island of Timor. 1#Classic intricately carved heirloom buffalo horn spoon. Length: 23.5cm/9.2in. 2# Anthropomorphic spoon carved from a coconut shell. L: 15.4cm/6in and W: 6.2cm2.5in. Both are circa mid-20th century and in very good condition.

Han-gappa which is a kind of jacket worn over kimono. Wefts are silk yarn and warps look cotton yarn. The collar is made of black wool which might be imported, and straps are made of wool cloth and vegetable indigo dye silk cords.
