June Hastings
$350.00 A pair of small bronze foo dogs or foo lions created by the lost-wax casting process, showing traces from the mold. Both have a wonderful warm patina and would make excellent brush rests for a calligrapher's or artist's detail brushes. In excellent condition, they measure about 2" long x 1.5 inches high.
Ancient East
$295 DESCRIPTION: A red and gilt ink cake in the form of a turtle with a curled snake on its back. In ancient China, the tortoise and the snake were thought to be spiritual creatures symbolizing longevity. Both the front and back have been finely pressed in raised relief with gilt accents. One of the treasures of the Chinese scholar’s studio, this ink cake is in excellent condition, in its original box, and dates from the first quarter of the 20th C. or earlier. DIMENSIONS: 3” long (7.7 cm).

Sold A Chinese porcelain bowl with fluted wall/ blue and white motifs decorations, an unreadable mark inside the foot rim. Ming Dynasty Jiajing to Longqing period, circa mid-16th century. Condition: minor kiln faults and a few tiny glaze flakes on the rim, photo #6 shows two example of them. The bowl is not in a perfect round shape. Please refer to photos for condition details. Diameter: approximately 4-3/4"; height: 2-1/2".

A set of three finely executed paintings in gouache and ink, on embossed paper by the British manufacturer Henry Dobbs. Showing different plants and butterflies. Mounted in later red lacquered wooden frames. Dimension: paintings: c. 23.5 cm x 17.3 cm, frames: c. 29.1 cm x 35.4 cm. Condition: fine, frames with some wear. On Hold A beautifully carved cinnabar round box depicting a sage and his attendant walking under a pine tree in a waterfront scene. We date this box to mid-Qing Dynasty, 18th century. The box is in very good antique condition, with some expected minor loses and small chips, parts of the rims are retouched. The double front doors showcase the dramatic natural grain. Behind each set of doors are a red lacquered interior with single shelving. The mid section of the cabinet holds two drawers that open with auspicious lucky bat handles.

$120.00 A small Guanyin / Guan Yin, moving graciously with ribbons and a fan, her hairdo with flowers and jewels. Chinese, early Republic period or somewhat earlier, carved in greenish speckled soapstone and fixed onto a rhombic hardstone stand. Height altogether "4 ¾ / 12 cm. Condition: piece of the ribbon near the right shoulder of the goddess is missing (cf. pics).

$120.00 A beautifully carved and gilt boxwood figure of Guan Yin / Guanyin. The goddess is holding the holy Buddhist scripture and has placed her hand between the open pages. China, Republic period, c 1920. The surface of the carving is covered with a thin layer of red that mixes with the gilt. The figure can be fixed to an oval wooden stand. Height (the stand not included) "4 ¾ / 12.3 cm. Condition: fine.

It was painted with mineral pigments and was kept nicely in aged mood. No cracks or restorations were found. It still needs a frame work to be as a hanging piece. Date : Qing Dynasty. Dimensions : 42cm x 40cm

Sold A Chinese porcelain gourd-shaped vase in coral-red glaze. "Daqing Jiaqing Nianzhi" six characters mark inside the foot rim, and of the period. The vase is in excellent condition: no chip, no crack, no restoration, but just a few glaze scratches. Height: 6".

Sold, Thank you very much A rare and good one of blue and white large bowl with finely potted, decorated with continuously "Ruyi" scroll and lotus panels to exterior. Interior center with Lotus flower within double circle and surrounded by classic scroll to inner rim. Foot slight short with unglazed base showing very white tone. Yuan Dynasty Jindezhen ware. Condition is very good near perfect, only found a tiny chip visible on the last enlargement, otherwise no any chip, no crack and free from any restoration...
