Two panels from a multipart Chinese ink and color on silk painting after Ding Yunpeng (active 1584-1638). The first Signed “Nanyu Ding Yunpeng” and with two red seals. Measures 94.5”V (85.5”V excluding mounting) x just under 23”H. 19th century or earlier. Very good overall condition. There is some soiling to the mount and the painting has some typical buckling, soiling, and wear. See item #1331946 for a description and images of the second panel...
Chinese late Ming dynasty Dehua (blanc de chine) porcelain bombe form censer with flaring rim covered overall with a white glaze of warm pinkish tone with areas of darker pink pooling. The base and bottom of the flat foot are both unglazed. 5 5/8” diameter x 3 7/8” high. 17th century. From a Scottsdale, Arizona collection. The current owners purchased the censer in Oregon in 1978 from the collection of an American missionary to China prior to the Japanese occupation...

~~~SOLD~~~ The Chinese porcelain dish has a border of two repeating elements, a garlanded ruyi and three interlinked rings. The centre of the dish depicts a Chinese landscape with two scholars approaching a solitary angler. The dish was made for the Japanese where such pieces were used and much appreciated in the tea ceremony, at a time when the Japanese porcelain industry was in its infancy.
Approximately 15.5 cm diameter... Chinese silver box, traces of original remain in good condition.

SOLD Antique fish sculpture, made from silver, with a fully articulated body, allowing wonderful lifelike movement. The forehead bears a symbol of two fish swimming closely in a yin yang formation. Its mouth is slightly open, almost smiling. Each of its scales has been embossed with intricate designs. A four character Chinese manufacturer's mark can be seen underneath the chin.

Exceptionally thin and sharp cutting edge. 4 conical holes would have been for attaching to wooden handle on working versions of this type of blade. Likely from the Longshan culture. On a custom wooden stand. Age: (Circa 2,000 B.C.) Provenance: Came from an Estate of Philip Cardiero in Pebble Beach, CA.

The front and back are carved to look like coins held together by ropes. The very top has three hand painted panels depicting gorgeously detailed ocean landscape scenes.
