Chinese Ming dynasty Longquan celadon bowl with molded upturned lotus petal decoration extending around the exterior. The unglazed portions of the base have burnt orange from firing. 5 3/8" diameter x 2 5/8" high. Circa 14th century. Very good overall condition with only some typical minor glaze degradation. Rare Chinese Ming Dynasty Enamelled Porcelain Dish

This unusual porcelain dish was made during the 16th century. It has been excavated from a landsite (as opposed to having come from a shipwreck) and the original enamels (mostly the "softer" red) have deteriorated due to long burial. The outer wall has been decorated, also in green and red enamels.

Diameter 10.75 cm. Surface wear through burial and ancient chip to inner footring. No repair or restoration.

Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Horse (AD 618 - 906)

This attractive pottery model of a horse was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in white and reddish-brown pigments. This horse is well-modelled and stands upright and alert.

Height 23 cm (9 inches). A nice example in good condition with any possible repair having been performed to a professional standard.

Unusual oval copper box with incised patterns depicting Dutch trading and historical scenes and classic Chinese “dragons chasing a flaming pearl”. This is circa 17th/18th century. The hinge and lock are later 19th century Chinese additions. Very good condition- no dents or scratches, there is a bit missing on the locking mechanism but still works- noted in last enlargement.
