Chinese Ming Dynasty Fahua Glazed Pottery Screen (16th Century)

This pottery model of a screen was made during the 16th century (c.1550 - 1600) from a hard creamy-white pottery and coated in the "fahua" palette of complimentary aubergine and turquoise coloured glazes, this is much rarer and more desirable than the more well-known green glazed examples.

Length 19 cm, height 19 cm. It is in fine condition with no restoration or repair.

Rare Chinese Northern Wei Dynasty Painted Pottery Kneeling Figure

This rare and unusual small pottery figure was made during the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). It is a kneeling figure wearing flowing robes and is made from a fairly high-fired solid pale grey pottery that has been cold painted in grey, pink and black pigments.

Height 10.25 cm. It is in very good condition with no sign of any restoration or repair.

Rare Chinese Han Dynasty Small Pottery Pig

This endearing small pottery model of a pig was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It is made from quite a highly-fired grey pottery. The pig stands upright, snout ahead, probably ready to go out looking for truffles!
